eToys: Victorian Decoupage

fruit scrapThis eToy enables you to simulate a Victorian scrapbook as Victorians would have done using images of genuine scraps from the collection at Tiverton Museum.

Instructions:

  1. Click on your chosen image to pick it up and then place it on the 'paper' by clicking again. You can repeat with the same image as many times as you wish.
  2. To choose a new scrap drop your current scrap in the selection frame by clicking in the frame. Then choose another and continue with your scrapbook decoupage until you are happy with your picture.
  3. If you wish to print your picture follow the instructions below.

This eToy uses Macromedia Flash. If you do not have the Flash Player installed on your machine you can download it free from http://www.macromedia.com/software/flashplayer/. The download will take approximately one minute using a standard dial-up connection.

How to get your decoupage to print

  1. Create your design on the paper as normal.
  2. Click the button at the top of the paper which says 'make me printable': all of the elements surrounding your design will disappear (NB: To get back to your original, just press the 'Backspace' key on your keyboard)
  3. Right click on this new image and then choose 'Print' (NB: Make sure you set up your paper as 'Landscape')
  4. Click 'OK', sit back and wait for your masterpiece to appear!

Good idea : why not print your design onto a t-shirt using the t-shirt transfer kits available from most computer supplies shops?
